What is ZED Certification?
ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) is an integrated and comprehensive certification system developed by the Quality Council of India (QCI) under the Ministry of MSME. It is designed to help Indian MSMEs adopt best manufacturing practices, produce superior quality products, and minimize their environmental footprint.
Zero Defect means manufacturing products right the first time without any defects, ensuring customer satisfaction and reducing waste. Zero Effect means manufacturing with minimal negative impact on the environment through efficient use of resources, energy conservation, and waste reduction.
The certification is part of the "Make in India" initiative and aims to make Indian MSMEs globally competitive while promoting sustainable manufacturing. ZED certified enterprises are recognized for their commitment to quality and environmental responsibility, giving them a competitive edge in domestic and international markets.
